“ great service. beautiful, moody lighting. sat down early for my reservation. I visited red rooster on a Friday night at 8 PM... It wasn't very crowded matter fact fairly empty. The food was delicious. I have no complaints for anything... Other than there are no modifications even if you're allergic to something they'll just add it on the side or just take it off the plate you're not able to replace it with anything. Try the deviled eggs it was very mustard forward, which aren't like mine the self proclaim devil egg queen. The cornbread was pretty average, but when you tried it with the cream and jelly, it took it to the next level. The crab fritters came out in tiny balls, but they were very delicious. I wish there was a large larger portion for a main course. The yard bird seem to be a favorite half of my party ordered it as well as many people in the restaurant. It was crispy season very well. My only complaint is... I could do without a chicken breast-- i'm a wing girlie. It came w wing, drug, and back/breast. The cocktails are there forte in my opinion, but the meal was surprisingly good for it to have all the sweet flavors in there. It was still gingery and refreshing. there is an open kitchen, which is nice to watch and see what's going on. I actually saw the head, Chef or manager doing quality control with the sauces. There is no military discount, there is an automatic 20% gratuity, and if I remember correctly they might be a little strict with splitting the bill individually. ”
“ On a recent visit to Red Rooster Miami my lovely wife and I fully enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming yet airy, but comfortable. With reservations, we were greeted immediately and taken to our table which was not too far from the kitchen. Our server, Carlos C. wasted no time explaining the days specials and recommended dishes. We started with deviled eggs. They were tasty but not overly flavored and just the right starter for what was to come. Our main dishes consisted of: - the Bucatini Picadilly (the pasta dish featured shrimp, crab, lobster and Parmesan breadcrumbs. Cooked to perfection with shredded seafood and tender noodles.) - the Overtown Fish Fry & Oxtail Fried Rice (lightly fried catfish pieces with savory shrimp, sitting on well seasoned oxtail fried rice. The plantain and carrot slaw was a nice touch layered with lime aioli. The taste was fantastic-I just wished the portion was more pleasurable.) - the Brown Sugar Wings (tender, lightly battered chicken wings in a tasty glaze. Yes Chef!!) - The Towners Mac & Cheese (while heavy on the sharp cheddar cheese, this dish can work as a main. Yes, it's that filling!) Beverages included sparkling water and GLS 3 by Wade ROSE (which was light in taste and small in portion.) In closing the food was amazing but the portion control needs to be adjusted for the price paid. Someone tell Marcus we love what you're doing in Overtown and that our next stop will be the location in Harlem. Psst, we will be back!! ”
“ The food, staff and service was phenomenal! Sunday brunch, DJ, and soul food buffet, done right, the perfect combination! Red Rooster did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant, the space is very inviting! Our server, Hector, immediately approached our table, as we were seated. He explained the setup, and invited us to get started. So much to choose, from! Bacon, smoke sausage, fried chicken and shrimp, smoked gouda grits, collard greens, mac n cheese, salmon, grilled meats and veggies. There was also a beautiful raw bar with cold salads, and seafood. There was also a station for made to order egg dishes, and fresh fruit. Last but not least a sweet station with made to order waffles, biscuits, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit and mini desserts. Everything was well-prepared and tasty. The staff was even better than the food! Our server, Hector, was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. The staff member at each station was friendly and welcoming. It seems like they truly enjoyed their jobs. I would highly recommend and would absolutely return! ”
“ First time stopping by for brunch and was blown away by the large selection of foods which were all so delicious. I loved the fact brunch ended later in the day so you don't have to wake up super early to make it on time. The outside seating was so beautifully set up and I would highly recommend sitting outside. All the staff were so nice Vincent on bbq made sure I got my meat exactly how I asked, tj on omilet station provided freshly made omelets. The decor is so beautiful I loved everything about this restaurant ”
“ Best brunch in Miami!! Ambiance is elevated but still has a homey feel. Service is attentive. Drinks: The expresso martini was tasty. Mains: Shrimp & Grits + Braised Oxtails & Grits - the grits were cooked & seasoned perfectly. The shrimp & oxtails was 10/10! Side: Brown Sugar Waffle - very savory! Barely needed syrup ”
“ My favorite restaurrant I tried when I was in miami! The interior of this restaurant is gorgeous, so visibly stunning and you can tell a lot of thought was placed into the ambiance. The service was a bit lackluster so that could be improved. Food was amazing - wow! I got the fried chicken which was probably some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The crunch was perfect , I was suprised by how much I enjoued the sauce which I believe was a buffalo-ish sauce which I normally don't like! The chicken came with some collard greens which were good but I wish it had come with some sort of carb. My friend and I also got the mac n cheese which was yummy but not outstanding - defintely gets cold fast so have to eat it quickly! ”
